Job Overview
The Project Manager Senior is a project management position that will be directly responsible for managing complex information technology (IT) projects from initiation to completion ensuring alignment with TDOT’s strategic objectives. This role involves overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and risk, as well as mentoring intermediate project managers and business analysts. The Project Manager Senior reports to an IT Program Manager, who serves as the strategic liaison between TDOT Bureaus, the IT Division, and key stakeholders. Additionally, this position contributes to portfolio management, product roadmaps, and IT strategic planning.
This position requires communication and coordination with team members, working in a team setting where collaboration is key, processing large volumes of information quickly and accurately, and using critical thinking and judgment to problem solve and make well‐informed decisions independently. The Project Manager Senior will implement national best practices to drive innovation and efficiency for IT projects.
