The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), Bureau of Public Transportation, Office of Rail has an exciting Connecticut Careers Trainee – Rail Officer 1 – Facility Operations Specialist entry level position available.  This position is in the Rail Station – Operations and Maintenance section based in New Haven, Connecticut.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Monday-Friday
Full-time (40 hours/week)
1st Shift , 7:30AM – 4:00PM.
New Haven, CT
THE ROLE:
Working with the Department of Transportation team on the direct oversight of contracted partners for operation and maintenance of 50 rail station/facility properties located throughout the state of Connecticut.
This position requires working in a dynamic environment, including a combination of in-office and off-site field inspection and travel via train and motor vehicle.
Candidates will be required to apply strong written and oral communication skills.
You will be expected to possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license. Please list your Driver’s license number, expiration date, and issuing State in the “Licenses and Professional Certifications” section of your application.  If applicable, please also list any other job-relevant licenses or certifications you hold.
