This Program Analyst (Environmental / NEPA) position is responsible for supporting environmental team members working in the overall context of project delivery from project planning to construction, maintenance, and operations. This includes preparation of environmental documents and agreements, environmental review, commitment tracking, compliance with federal and local regulations, coordinating with federal, state and local environmental and resource agencies and working on multidisciplinary teams within the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and externally.

The incumbent will serve as an expert technical advisor for project development and environmental review, ensuring compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the District of Columbia Environmental Policy Act (DCEPA). The incumbent will represent DDOT in interagency consultation with agency stakeholders (District of Columbia State Historic Preservation Office, National Parks Service, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, etc.).

Hybrid (virtual and in office): This position is subject to the District of Columbia Human Resources telework policy, which currently allows up to one day of routine telework per week. The position is based out of DDOT Headquarters at 250 M St SE, Washington, DC 20003.
