This position supports the Bridge Office by drafting final structural plans and architectural drawings with a focus on rehabilitation and emergency repair plans. The position is also responsible for reviewing structural plans prepared by others. Key duties include:
- Operating CADD workstations to create designs in compliance with CADD drafting standards
- Determining materials required and computing cost estimates for bridge designs
- Independently developing and drafting the plans, sections, and elevations required to convey the three-dimensional construction of the bridge, and other structural components in a two-dimensional plan format

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate of Arts degree in Architectural Drafting, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a closely related field plus one year of architectural drafting experience OR five years of architectural drafting experience.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and techniques sufficient to compute alignments and grades.
- Knowledge and application of AutoCAD, MicroStation, or OpenBridge Modeler.
- Knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and mathematics.
- Graphic skills sufficient to represent the three-dimensional quality of bridge components in a two-dimensional plan format.
