Safety & Health Officer 1
Up to $65,458/annually
This position will provide safety and health program leadership to MnDOT District 1 so that incidents are managed, employees receive needed training, audits are conducted to identify issues early and fix them, and numerous other safety activities.

To qualify, Safety & Health Officer 1 applicants must have:
One (1) year of professional level experience in the field of occupational health or safety.
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Emergency or Risk Management, or Industrial Hygiene (or closely related field)
Associate’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene (or closely related field) and 6 months of professional level experience in the field of occupational health or safety.
Successful candidate resumes must also demonstrate:
Knowledge of federal and state occupational safety and health rules and regulations, ergonomics, techniques of injury prevention and hazard evaluation.
Experience developing and conducting safety training.
Ability to review and evaluate work environments sufficient to identify potential environmental health hazards, evaluating them sufficient to apply corrective measures.
