Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two (2) weeks of closing date.

Why does the job exist?
To install and diagnose/maintain all HVAC systems and plumbing services, perform equipment inspections and repairs.

How does it get done?
This position will service and maintain all heating ventilation, air conditioning systems and plumbing services within the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) General Office Complex.   Also, provide assistance with other maintenance duties within the Complex as required to include snow removal in the winter months.

NMDOT employees.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:

* Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Journeymen License;
* Minimum of two (2) years plumbing experience preferred; and
* Operating vehicular and stationary mechanical equipment to include duct/sheet metal.

Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years construction experience to include familiarity with application of building codes and regulations, basic electrical, plumbing, ventilation, maintenance and/or custodial operations; building trade experience. This occupation is subject to regulation under 14.7.7.1, NMAC, 1-1-08, 2009 New Mexico Existing Building Code, effective 1/1/11. 14.9.2 NMAC, 2009 New Mexico Mechanical Code, effective 1/1/11. Some positions may require any/all of the following: 1) NM Boiler Operator License (Journeyman Boiler Operator) (BO1, BO2);  2) HVAC Certification (MM-3); 3) Mechanical License (MM-98); 4) General Building License (GB-98). Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s License.

*Mechanical License (MM-98)
*HVAC Certification (MM-3)
