New Mexico DOT is hiring for the Programs Unit Supervisor in the Multimodal Planning & Programs Bureau. This position manages a team of 6 (two direct reports; 4 indirect). The Programs Unit is comprised of two (2) teams, each led by an Urban and Regional Planner Supervisor. One team includes the Government to Government Planning Liaisons, who work closely with the Metropolitan and Regional Transportation Planning Organizations in NM, including managing the federal grants that fund the Metropolitan and Regional Transportation Planning Organizations operations. The second team is the Active Transportation Programs team, which manages two federal funding programs: Transportation Alternatives and Recreational Trails. This team also includes the Bicycle/Pedestrian/Equestrian Coordinator and multimodal planning efforts. This position additionally assists the Bureau with the development and implementation of transportation plans, and other duties as assigned. Required experience: Masters degree in Planning or related field and 4+ years of experience (substitutions apply). Compensation: $68,302 – 109,283 annually (pay band 80), depending on experience.
