The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation (DOT) is accepting applications for paid Repair Seasonal Worker positions within the Bureau of Highway Operations.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Anticipated start date in May of 2025 and ending by August 30, 2025
Monday – Friday, First Shift
8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Locations: Various, see below
Repair Shops: Colchester, Darien, East Haven, Milford, Putman, Rocky Hill, West Willington
THE ROLE
As a Maintenance and Repair Summer Worker, you will have the opportunity to explore career paths and obtain valuable paid work experience in the maintenance field. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required and must be maintained. Duties for Maintenance and Repair Summer Worker may include:
Repair:
Performing light building maintenance
May receive some training and provide general assistance with semi-skilled equipment repairs
Assistance with shop records and diagnostic programs
Other related duties as assigned
