POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Full-time (40 hours per week)
First shift, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Monday – Friday
Office/On-site
Location: East Lyme, CT
THE ROLE:
The Qualified Craft Worker will spend most of the time performing highly skilled plumbing/steamfitting tasks involving the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of various interior and exterior plumbing related building components including, but not limited to: Domestic, sanitary, and drainage utilities, and garage floor drainage systems
Fixtures and water heaters
Line snaking/jetting, well water systems, oil/water and wastewater holding equipment, natural gas supply lines, pneumatic compressors, and associated plumbing
Diagnosing/troubleshooting and resolving plumbing problems typical to commercial and industrial buildings
The incumbent must be dependable and self-motivated since they will often be working independently, however, work with other trades as required in the repair and maintenance of HVAC and fuel dispensing equipment. The ability to multi-task and to take initiative in completing their duties with minimum supervision is necessary. The incumbent must be dependable and self-motivated since they will often be working independently.
*A considerable amount of driving is involved and the individual filling this position is required to maintain a valid Connecticut driver’s license.
