The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) is accepting applications for a seasonal Equal Opportunity & Diversity Summer Worker within the Bureau of Administration.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Anticipated start date in May 2023 and ending by August 31, 2023
- Monday – Friday
- Full Time (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
- First Shift
- Location: Newington
THE ROLE
Learn what it is like to work on a state affirmative action plan including documentation and equity and inclusion compliance. In this role, you will:
- Gain an understanding of civil rights efforts at the state agency level
- Work with CCSU on the National Summer Transportation Institute to coordinate meetings, plan recruitment of high school students, create flyers and advertising materials, and coordinate programs and field trips with DOT staff
- Manage office functions and organization
- Data clean up
- Analyzing Excel reports to track hires, promotions, and goal achievement
- Intake and logging complaints
- Prepare data and charts for meetings
