Are you driven by designing and producing roadway plans that help keep Virginia travelers moving safely and efficiently? We are looking for a Roadway Design Engineer to join the Culpeper District Location and Design team.
Design, manage and produce right of way and construction roadway plans for a wide range of transportation projects using automated engineering and design software. Maintain strong skills in new design technology and construction methodology. Provide technical advice, guidance and training regarding assigned engineering program areas. Prepare analyses, reports, and recommendations based on engineering determinations. Provide engineering support and consultation related to engineering program area. Effectively manage assigned projects to ensure timely and accurate completion. Communicate with internal VDOT staff, local government staff, consultants, citizens and FHWA regarding transportation projects and programs.
