If so, you should consider joining our Richmond District Traffic Operations Team (Colonial Heights, Virginia). We are seeking a responsible charge engineer to support delivery of its traffic signal, roadway lighting, and ITS design program. You will oversee projects to include a range of traffic control devices and ITS elements, guiding them from concept development through construction. Position will supervise and train professional engineering and technical staff; coordinate activities with management, stakeholders, customers, and key individuals throughout VDOT; and communicate with internal VDOT staff, local government staff, consultants, citizens and FHWA regarding transportation projects and programs. Position requires Professional Engineer’s License.
