Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking multiple Engineering Design Team Leads (Transportation Engineer 3) to join our Design Office and lead a team of engineers and technicians in developing highway transportation projects. In this role, you will oversee project design delivery from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with agency standards, specifications, and policies. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary work activities, establish priorities, and provide technical guidance to achieve high-quality, cost-effective designs that enhance the safety and efficiency of Washington’s transportation system. This position also plays a key role in advancing WSDOT’s strategic goals in workforce development, diversity, equity, inclusion, and long-term resilience.
