Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 2 to support WSDOT’s mission by ensuring traffic analysis completed in support of highway construction projects is prepared to WSDOT’s protocols. The Transportation Engineer 2 ensures private development projects construct improvement to the state system in compliance with standard specifications, contract specifications and contract plans. The work improves the safety, quality, and capacity of the State’s transportation System. As a Transportation Engineer 2 in the Olympic Region Traffic Office, the incumbent performs traffic analysis, prepares traffic study reports, performs development review, and supports the Traffic Design groups oversight of design build projects.
