Washington State DOT
Transportation Engineer 2 (TE2) In-Training | Olympic Region
Western WA – Olympic Region
$61,404 – $91,068 Annually
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently looking for enthusiastic engineers who have a passion for creative solutions, innovation, and can provide success in collaborative efforts to support the Olympic Region. We are seeking entry-level and journey-level engineers, as well as college students projected to graduate from an engineering program by June 2025, to work on some of the most important infrastructure projects in Washington State. This opportunity is open for ‘in-training’, which means that depending on your qualifications, you may be offered a position at a lower level along with a formal on-the-job training plan to complete within a specified timeframe. Successful completion of the training plan will result in a promotion to the next level within the job class series, and a minimum 5% pay increase!
Headquartered in Lacey, WA, the Olympic Region may be the most dynamic in terms of climate, as it includes key portions on the Interstate-5 corridor through Pierce and Thurston County, as well as the entire Olympic peninsula which extends from the mountains to the Pacific coast. These positions will support Design, Construction, Scoping, Traffic, and Fish Passage work within the Region.
