Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking to fill multiple Plant Inspector/Tester positions to support our Renton Project Office on the I-405/SR 167 Program. The I-405/SR 167 corridor is a multimodal transportation network that extends 40+ miles within three counties in the Puget Sound region. This position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to work on a very large-scale design-build projects. Our top candidate will be comfortable performing a variety of duties in accordance with WSDOT standards to support the delivery of multi-million dollar design-build projects within the I-405/SR 167 corridors. These are in-training positions that offer a career path and on-the-job training, which allows you to progress upward through the Transportation Technician field and achieve the goal class level. As the Plant Inspector & Tester, these positions are responsible for performing project inspection, materials testing on concrete and asphalt. These positions are also responsible for performing a variety of construction and environmental engineering tasks for construction administration and monitoring environmental permit conditions in support of engineering projects and the construction office.
