The Washington State Ferry (WSF) Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a Civil/Marine Engineer to provide a variety of project management and ferry terminal design services. This position supports the improvement and preservation projects that allow the ferry system to continue to provide safe and reliable service for our customers.
Note: successful candidates may be hired into the Marine Engineer at either the Associate Marine Engineer or Marine Engineer level if they can demonstrate the required work experience. See the “Qualifications Section” for a summary of qualifications. In addition, candidates for promotion will need to demonstrate engineering competence and growth through the successful completion of assigned work tasks and training plans, to be qualified for advancement.
Associate Marine Engineer: $62,596 – $84,117 annually, depending on qualifications
Marine Engineer: $78,094 – $105,008 annually, depending on qualifications
