Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team supporting the agency’s environmental stewardship, historic preservation, and community outreach goals. The incumbent will provide technical expertise to the agency in the field of cultural resources management, particularly for standing historic properties and historic transportation infrastructure. The opportunity is for a Cultural Resources Specialist (Architectural Historian/Historian) – TPS4 within the HQ Mottman Facility in Tumwater, WA.
This position will perform a variety of review and research activities to support and ensure agency compliance with state and federal regulations related to historic preservation and cultural resources management, particularly under the National Historic Preservation Act and the National Environmental Policy Act and will be responsible for maintaining and updating the WSDOT Historic Bridge Inventory.
