Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious individual to join the Olympic Region (OR) Highway Maintenance team. This journey-level position will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and functionality of our highways, facilities, and fleet by performing skilled maintenance and repair work. Operating a wide range of specialized equipment and tools, the successful candidate will help ensure the efficient movement of people and goods across the region. This position will also play a critical part in emergency response efforts, environmental stewardship, and may lead crews in the absence of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3. An ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong teamwork and communication skills, technical proficiency in highway maintenance operations, and a firm commitment to safety and public service.
