Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Technical Engineer (TTE) to join the Tumwater Design Office that is delivering fish passage and mobility projects. Reporting to the Project Engineer, this role provides management of Agreements with consultant firms and public agencies as well as project budgets for an engineering office responsible for the delivery of design projects. Projects are expected to be completed within budget, on schedule, and have appropriate QA/QC to ensure deliverables are constructable and maintainable. This role contributes to the WSDOT mission of providing safe, reliable and cost-effective transportation options to improve communities and economic vitality for people and businesses. This is accomplished by administering Agreements, oversight of deliverables, review and payment of invoices, management of project budgets, coordination of project schedule updates and reporting. This position directly supports the agency’s strategic plan by ensuring, through adherence to WSDOT policies, that work functions performed are administered to the expected quality, safety, and stewardship standards to support Washington’s long-term resilience.
