Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking two maintenance professionals to join our maintenance team in Mount Vernon, WA. In these journey-level roles, you will play a vital part in preserving and maintaining highway infrastructure to ensure the safety and mobility of the traveling public. Under the guidance of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3, you will operate a variety of specialized highway equipment and tools to perform roadway maintenance, and repairs. These positions will also provide the opportunity to lead maintenance crews in the absence of a supervisor, supporting the continuity of operations and crew safety. Success in these roles require a strong commitment to safety, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effective communication, and technical expertise in roadway maintenance practices and equipment operation.
